Charles David Thomson, known affectionately as “CD,” brings over two decades of elite coaching experience to our institute. A disciplinarian with a heart for development, CD combines the rigors of a 25-year career in the Indian Navy with the scientific approach of modern cricket coaching.

A Global Track Record: From Ranji to the USA
CD is one of the few coaches with a proven history of winning on two continents.
In India: He served as the Head Coach for the Andhra and Services Ranji Trophy teams, taking Andhra to the knockouts in both white-ball formats and elevating their U-23 team from the Plate to the Elite group. He was also a specialist coach at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) zonal academies for a decade.

In the USA: He is a leading force in American cricket, having coached the Missouri State U-19 team to a National Championship title in 2025 and the U-15 team to a Runners-up finish.

He holds the highest credentials available in the sport:
Level 3 Certified Coach: Both ICC Academy (Dubai) and BCCI.

CD’s core philosophy is simple: “Turn POTENTIAL into PERFORMANCE”. He is not just a technical coach but a mentor who focuses on the “mental management” of the game. With qualifications in Sports Psychology from the International Olympic Council and a Diploma in the “Art and Science of Training Young Athletes” from the University of Florida, he helps students conquer performance anxiety and develop a champion’s mindset.
